Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Motion or back-Up Alarms:
Motion alarms and backup alarms are audio device accessories that produce enough sound so that the noise is heard overtop the sounds produced from the forklift itself.
The sound needs to be readily distinguishable from other audible devices or sounds in the work setting. Sound should be readily discernible from other sound or audible devices within the work area. The audible device can end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; thus, care must be taken.
Determine the distance and direction the sound of the audible device is made more difficult due to the use of hearing protection. Audible devices could sometimes get disabled from workers and operators as they can find them irritating. Furthermore, audible devices can also be objectionable to residents in the vicinity.
Additional Operator & Application Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: Operator enclosed cabs help to protect the operator from the elements. They use tempered glass in order to prevent injuries. Additionally, these cabs feature an emergency exit via window removal. The levels of noise are lessened at the operator's ear due to additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For each particular use, the operator could choose the performance requirement. What's more, it allows a supervisor to set the maximum performance of a unit for an operator who is just starting to learn. Being able to reduce and adjust the maximum performance of the model enables a new operator to learn the machine's operating features in a controlled environment.
Impact Monitor: The impact monitor disables the unit and when this occurs, it requires a supervisor to activate and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the machinery in a more controlled way.
Panoramic and Dual Rear View Mirrors: These mirrors serve as an aid to the operator in observing the operating environment behind the truck as well as the tail swing area.
