Reach Assembly & Carriage
Both the carriage and the reach assembly receive a lot of stress in a typical work shift. The Reach Assembly Rear Carrier offers durability and rigidity by being mounted on angled load rollers so as to resist side to side forces. Additionally, the stronger inner frame assembly helps to withstand shocks and vibration while load handling. The side weldments on the thick inner frame have also been designed for durability.
There are tapered roller bearings at reach mechanism pivot points that make up the Reach Arm Mechanism. These pivot points lessen the side to side motion and twisting of reach assembly during tough operations. To be able to decrease carriage twisting, dual reach cylinders are mounted. There are key pivot points that have grease fittings in order to ensure longer service life by providing lubrication.
Routed through a flexible track in order to decrease possible damage and binding are a variety of wires and hoses. The carriage is one more important part. There is Reduced Carriage Travel Speed offered with Carriage Extended option so as to stop high speed travel with the reach assembly extended. This helps to reduce stress on the reach mechanism itself.
Mast
The mast's rigidity and durability are crucial to both the truck's overall uptime and the operator's confidence. This is moreso when the reach truck is being operated at tall lift heights. The mast has to be very rigid to withstand any twisting caused by any off-center loading issues or the truck's motion. The mast should be sure it is able to rise and lower in a smooth manner with minimum consumption of power.
