Narrow aisle forklifts
Narrow aisle forklifts are usually utilized in warehousing operations. These forklifts are important tools in the business as their small size and excellent maneuverability allow warehouses to make the most of storing space. They could easily go around aisles as narrow as 1.8 meters wide, while typical lift trucks require at least 3.4 meters of aisle width.
The two kinds are "narrow aisle forklift" and the "very narrow aisle forklift". The former require 2.4 meters - 3 meters in aisle width, whereas the latter could function in a 1.8 meters wide space.
The narrow aisle forklift design includes forks positioned at right angles to the truck body. The trucks do not have to face the shelves, but instead drive straight down the aisle picking up loads to the side. This design feature is the key to their suitability for limited spaces.
Several very narrow aisle forklifts come with optical or wire guidance systems which make certain that the forklift moves in a straight line down the aisle, which leaves the operator free to concentrate on load placement and picking.
These kinds of lifts are equipped with cushion tires made from solid rubber. The hard tires perform well on smooth, paved surfaces and concrete floors. Narrow aisle forklifts have electric motors which is best used within indoor places. Propane-powered models are available as well.
