Heavy Forklifts
With their new series of heavy forklift trucks, Hyundai is aiming for a new customer base. A variety of industries, from the natural stone and concrete businesses, to the steel industry, the railway sector and the transportation of heavy goods in the ports are all working with and depending on heavy duty machines. The power and efficiency provided by the units keep operational costs low and offer the very best conditions for economical work. These types of machinery could excel in the nearly all demanding environments.
The Cummins diesel engines ranging from 162 horse-power to 250hp provides the necessary power on all of the large capacity units. TierIII emission standards are met with the 6 cylinder engines. These types of forklifts are able to take the truck up to a speed of 35 km/h. It can climb on steep slopes and rough terrain and also provides great acceleration.
The operator can utilize a switch in order to choose 1 of 2 driving modes. When in "Power" mode, full power is available for work on heavy loads or difficult terrain. In the "STP" mode, the trucks are able to save lots of fuel during light-duty work. Additionally, just by pressing a switch, the operator can automatically maintain a chosen speed without touching the accelerator pedal. This is another fuel saving feature. The forklift's fully automatic transmission gently shifts through the gears, making the equipment comfortable to use and easy to maneuver.
The well-ventilated cabin offers a comfortable and spacious working place. The cabin combines high performance with fatigue-free work. The powerful air conditioning and heating system helps ensure the operator has a comfortable interior. The cab was designed ergonomically to offer a bird's eye view of all of the controls, adding to the overall safety of the unit. A CD player and an MP3 player put the finishing touches on giving the nice atmosphere that Hyundai machines are supposed to have.
